Planning and Preparation for 2010

Yes it is that time already. The possible team members will be meeting on January 24th at 11.45am to gather information for the 2010 Honduras Mission Trip.

So far some members from previous years are planning on returning to Honduras, while others cannot make it this year due to other commitments. A few fresh faces are also thinking and praying about making the trip.

John and Penny will be in the US in July and plan to visit Jacksonville too.

So keep an eye on this page and the facebook group for more information as it comes to light.

Home

The team arrived home around 12 midnight. A smooth travel day! Thursday night was spent in close to the airport and included our final dinner together and sharing time. This year John and Penny shared in this final evening. Everyone was deeply blessed by the fellowship time. The team are looking forward to presenting about their trip on Sunday Nov 1 at 11.45am at Jacksonville Presbyterian Church. Please join us if you can, we would love to see you there. Thank you for all your support and prayers during this year's trip.

Final days

Yesterday saw the final full day of work for the team. Amber and Lori were in the hospital nursing. Tom worked on mechanical items and Richard, Richard and Mike finished the fan in John's labor / delivery room, and some water and light work at Dr Shaw's. The evening was taken up with an open house dessert to which many of the missionaries and their families came. A great time of fellowship was enjoyed by all.

Today the team begin the journey home, first traveling to stay over night near the city and then flying all day on Friday. The time here has been amazing, challenging and blessed. We all cannot wait to see family and friends and yet feel the tug on our hearts as we depart from those here that we hold so dear.

A Day at the Dump

Tuesday saw four of the team (Amber, Kandee, Lori and Tom) Accompany Lisa to her ministry at the Dump. 2000 people live and work at the dump. The ministry aims to serve the children living there, by sharing the gospel and feeding them, and supplying care, hope and love. The team that went were deeply effected and will be reporting their experiences and insights soon
